Performance
The newest Tahoe model offers the choice between a gas or diesel engine. Folks who prefer a gas engine can choose between a 5.3-liter setup or upgrading to a 6.2-liter system. The 5.3 peaks at 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The 6.2-liter hits 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. If you prefer a diesel engine, the 3.0-liter turbo can push 305 horsepower while producing 495 pound-feet of torque. The top towing setup for the new Tahoe allows your SUV to pull up to 8,000 pounds. All versions of the Tahoe use an automatic transmission.
Chevrolet builds an off-road variant of the Tahoe. The Z71 trim. While the other versions of the Tahoe are available with rear- or all-wheel drives, the Z71 includes a four-wheel drive. Likewise, the Chevy Tahoe Z71 has a two-speed transfer case, performance shocks, a heavy-duty air filter, recovery hooks, hill-descent control, skid plates, and greater front clearance.

A three-row SUV that offers seating for up to seven people, the Tahoe is one of the most impressive big rides on the market. Leather upholstery is standard for every trim except the base Tahoe.
